A traveler in pursuit of experiences………the pic on my profile represents me aptly. There is so much in life to acomplish that one shouldn't be contended by achieving a few aspirations. There is so much potential in each one of us that we compete with ourselves (In this pic, Tintin racing against his shadow)

The complexities of Life

"The woods are lovely dark and deep,

And I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep!!"

These lines clearly summarize my thought process. There is so much to do in life that most of the times I feel I’m racing against time. And, while doing all these one also needs to remember what needs to be done to maintain all the relationships around; family, friends, peers and so on.

Some people live the by the day; they never think of what to expect in life ahead and with no expectations; there’s no scope for disappointment. However, there is this ambitious batch of people, who are foresighted and think of themselves doing things 5 to 10 years down the line each day. They are the ones who have a lot of grit and perseverance. They are never rattled with failures; at the fact that they lost heavily at some of their best deals. It takes a lot to be in that group of people.

However, there is another category of people who spend heir entire life in the no mans land. There are millions of them. Each activity or instance or experience in life sways them a few inches either side, but then at the end of the day they find themselves stranded at the same place they started. They always keep pondering if they should live each day as it comes or live for fulfilment of my dreams; after all there wouldn’t be expectations and so less chances of being hurt.

My take on the same is dream!! Dare to dream!! There are chances that one might fall flat on face, dreams get shattered, one gets hurt; but then that’s what drives you further. Life wouldn’t have been exciting and worth living if there weren’t challenges. Steve Jobs had the mental strength to start off a new company inspite of being thrown out of a company that he had founded. Saurav Ganguly had the determination to get back in the team inspite of all the opposition. These are the people who make us believe that “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going!!”

I too have a few unfulfilled goals, few aspirations which I need to fulfil before I set new targets and goals. The last couple of weeks have been mixed ones for me. Have succeeded in certain tasks, have not met with success in others. If I have to choose between the two, I would say that having met failure is a bigger achievement; it makes you think, introspect, channelize energy to lift your drooping shoulders and relish something that you haven’t been able to achieve. After all, “Success is counted to be the sweetest, but those who do not succeed!!”.....But Someday I will and my fight for that day continues!!
